Track-Tested Performance
Hyundai Elantra N sedans are powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged GDI engine that cranks out 276 horsepower and 289 pounds-feet of torque, sending all power to the front wheels through an N Corner Carving Differential (electronic limited-slip differential) that sends power to the outside wheels for optimal traction and reduced understeer. Drivers can choose from two transmissions, including a 6-speed manual or an available N 8-speed Wet Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) with paddle shifters. As a bonus, all models come with an N Grin Control System that provides Eco, Normal, Sport, N, and Custom profiles to adjust powertrain, chassis, drivetrain, and exhaust sound characteristics.
Focusing on dynamic handling and maximum traction, the Hyundai Elantra N features a reinforced rear chassis brace, electronically-controlled suspension dampers, and Michelin® Pilot® Sport 4 S summer tires. Plus, the high-performance brake system delivers 14.2-inch ventilated front brake rotors and 12.3-inch ventilated rear brake rotors with high-friction brake pads to minimize braking distances. And when it's time to commute to work near Maryville, Tennessee, the Hyundai Elantra N offers up to an EPA-estimated 21 MPG city and 29 MPG highway with the 6-speed manual transmission or up to an EPA-estimated 20 MPG city and 27 MPG highway with the N 8-speed DCT.
