As a compact five-door, front-wheel drive hatchback, the 2018 Hyundai Elantra is unmatched for its power and sports good looks. It has amazing handling and offers a great ride which will change the way you think about a hatchback.

The Elantra has three powertrain options. The Elantra SE, SEL, Value Edition and Limited are powered by a 2.0-liter GDI engine with 147 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque. The Eco has a 1.4-liter turbocharged engine with 128 horsepower and 156 pound-feet of torque while the Sport has a 1.6-liter with 201 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque. A six-speed manual transmission is standard on the SE and Sport. All other models come with a six-speed automatic.

Inside, there is a 7-inch touchscreen information system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. All models have USB ports and an auxiliary port and Bluetooth to keep you connected.

The Elantra available Blind Spot Detection with Rear Cross-traffic Alert and lane assist. Both are standard on the GT Sport which also has optional Forward Collision Warning, Smart Cruise Control, Lane Departure Warning, High-Beam Assist and Anti-Locking Brakes.
