Hyundai Releases Details On New 1.6 Liter Turbo, Possible Veloster Application

That a turbocharged version of the Hyundai Veloster is in the works is at best a poorly guarded secret. Today, Hyundai released details on a turbo 1.6-liter four-cylinder that could very well be the engine the sportier Veloster will use.

Hyundai Genesis Hurricane SC Coming To SEMA

As usual, Hyundai is hitting this year's SEMA show with a vengeance, having already announced a "rally-ready" Veloster and another Veloster by PM Lifestyle.

Today, the Genesis Coupe joins the party with a special Hurricane SC edition.

Hyundai outlines future green car initiates in new global strategy

Hyundai Motor Group has announced a new "Green Car Global Leading Strategy," which will see two new compact electric vehicles launched by 2015. Hyundai made the announcement at the 'Green Car Symposium' currently being held in Gwangju, Korea.

Custom turbocharged Hyundai Veloster to bow at SEMA

After our first drive of the Hyundai Veloster, we described the three-door hatch as an 'eco-sport' rather than an 'all-out performance car'. The 1.6-liter four-pot under the hood produces 138 horsepower and 123 pound-feet torque, which provided 'adequately entertaining' acceleration. In other words, we wouldn't mind one bit if the Veloster got an extra dose of power.
